What is a Medical Visa?

A Medical Visa (MED Visa) is a special visa issued by the Government of India for international patients travelling exclusively to receive treatment at recognized hospitals, specialty medical centres or accredited healthcare institutions.

Depending on your treatment plan and nationality, you may also be eligible for an e-Medical Visa for certain types of medical travel. Patients must provide supporting medical records and an invitation or appointment letter from the treating hospital as part of the application process.
